Die Prym Patentnadeln, auch als Selbst-Einfädelungsnadeln bekannt, verfügen über ein spezielles offenes und federndes Öhr. Sie lassen sich besonders leicht einfädeln, indem der gespannte Faden einfach durch die Öffnung im oberen Öhr gezogen wird, wo er dann gehalten wird. Dies ermöglicht auch Personen mit Sehbeeinträchtigungen ein problemloses Einfädeln. Neben diesem speziellen, gratfreien Öhr zeichnen sich die Nadeln durch eine gleichmäßige, porenfreie Oberfläche für leichtes Gleiten, abgestimmte Federhärte und eine lange, besonders schlank geschliffene Spitze aus. Prym bietet die Patentnadeln in einer Sortimentspackung mit 6 Stück in den Größen Nr. 5 bis 9 an.
