What is vinyl suitable for?
Vinyl is particularly suitable for smooth surfaces such as glass, plastic, metal or coated wood surfaces. There are two common types: permanent vinyl for permanent applications and removable (peelable) vinyl for temporary lettering and decoration. Both types are available in matt and glossy finishes and in many colors.
How do you process vinyl?
- Cutting: Use a cutting machine and test the cutting depth and speed with a test cut.
- Weeding: Remove excess material with fine tweezers or weeding hooks.
- Transfer: Use transfer tape/transfer paper to apply your motif precisely to the target surface.
- Stick on: Clean and keep surfaces dry before applying, then press the film on carefully.
