Sewing tips from the seamstress
- Preparation: Cut the bias tape to size, iron if necessary (double-fold or single-fold version) and shape the corners with a small crease.
- Sewing on: Use a narrow stitch and a suitable presser foot (e.g. zipper foot) to guide the bias tape neatly. For round edges, work in short sections and stretch the tape slightly.
- Clean corners: For precise corners, fold the bias tape at the corners before sewing on and start the seam slowly; if necessary, trim the seam allowance just back.
- Care tip: Pay attention to the type of material - faux leather bias tapes require different care than cotton tapes.
