What are the threads suitable for?

Depending on the thickness and finish, the threads are suitable for different tasks: thicker threads emphasize quilting seams and create decorative effects, finer threads are more inconspicuous and better for sewing patchwork pieces together. Waxed threads make hand sewing easier and offer some grip, while transparent threads take a back seat and are particularly suitable for subtle finishes.

Tips for sewing

• Always test on a piece of fabric first: check needle size, thread tension and stitch pattern.
• For thicker threads, select a suitable needle (topstitch or quilting needle) and adjust the tension on the machine if necessary.
• Do not stretch waxed threads too much when sewing by hand; they are easy to guide and knot easily.
• Handle transparent threads gently so that they do not break or tangle.
