Sewing tips
Use a suitable needle - denim or leather needles work better with thicker thread. Adjust the sewing machine tension and stitch length: with extra strong threads, slightly longer stitches are often useful so that the material is not bunched up too much. Always test on a scrap of fabric first to check the needle, thread tension and stitch pattern. For hand sewing, a blunt saddler's needle helps to guide the thread through several layers.
